ABOUT THE FILM
In his Emmy Award-winning When I Walk – which we screened in 2014 – filmmaker Jason DaSilva documented the challenges of living with multiple sclerosis. Six years later his wife leaves him, moving from New York to Texas with their child. Paralyzed below the neck but undeterred, Jason straps a camera to his motorized wheelchair and embarks on a byzantine journey through the inconsistencies of America’s broken healthcare system. This illuminating portrait of a man with an indestructible drive – who refuses to be defined by disability – is also an eloquent testament that true parental love means never giving up.
