ABOUT THE FILM

Sweeping vistas of the San Juan and Gulf Islands, accompanied by the incomparable choral music of one of the world’s greatest composers, Morten Lauridsen – this film is a calming, spiritual treat. National Medal Of Arts recipient Lauridsen writes much of his music from his cabin on Waldron Island. We glimpse into his life, his love for the natural world and passion for music and poetry. Interviews with composers, conductors, singers and friends are accompanied by a soundtrack of his masterworks. The film offers a rare encounter with music that inspires humanity and conveys a spiritual transmission to singers and audiences alike.
