ABOUT THE FILM
Exquisite views of Vancouver Island illuminate us as we hear the words of Kwaxsistalla, a Kwakwaka’wakw clan chief speaking in his native tongue, subtitled so we can understand his message of the sacredness of the rainforest. Historic footage shows scientists climbing up into the canopy to study the unique biosystem which exists far above our heads, and environmentalists protesting logging. Filmmaker Richard Boyce travels into hidden regions of Vancouver Island to show the areas of poor logging practices, so that while they may be out of sight, they will not remain out of mind.
