ABOUT THE FILM
Watch the unfolding of a brilliant idea as new immigrants are taken to Alberta provincial and national parks and introduced to camping. Camping is a very Canadian activity, and immigrants feel connected to both the culture and the landscape of their new country as a result. The programs overcome economic and social barriers to offset nature deprivation and to increase knowledge and stewardship of our environment. Back in the city, programs are also run to involve immigrants in community gardens and water monitoring. This is a joyful and positive film.
