ABOUT THE FILM
Kettling is a tactic used by police in volatile situations involving crowds. Also called coralling or containment, the idea is to make a cordon of police around an area to enclose everyone in that area and hold them with either one limited exit or no exit at all. This short film explores how this tactic was misused during the G20 summit in Toronto, and makes a passionate argument against its use at any time, as the innocent become caught in the kettle and even the guilty are deprived of basic human needs and rights.
