ABOUT THE FILM

How much power does the role of urban agriculture have in revitalizing our cities and changing the way we eat? That’s the question posed by filmmakers Dan Susman and Andrew Monbouquette as they take a road trip across the USA to visit 80 urban farms. They meet the men and women who are challenging the way the US grows and distributes its food, using vacant city lots, rooftop gardens and even backyard chicken coops. “Anyone anywhere should be able to grow food for their community” is the mantra – stronger and more vibrant communities are the happy by-products.
