ABOUT THE FILM
They may not be household names, but four trailblazing female architects and urban planners – Phyllis Lambert, Blanche Lemco van Ginkel, Cornelia Hahn Oberlander and Denise Scott Brown – have left indelible marks on cityscapes across North America and Europe, including such Vancouver landmarks as Robson Square, VanDusen Botanical Garden and the Museum of Anthropology. Despite their illustrious accomplishments, none has received the recognition of their male contemporaries. Animated by what has united these accomplished women throughout their careers – the dream of fundamentally human and inclusive cities – this revelatory film is for anyone who cares about what makes cities work for people.
