Darwin, California is an isolated community at the end of a weathered road in Death Valley. Often propelled from society by tragic turns, the people of Darwin (population 35) must now find ways to coexist in a place without local government, churches, or jobs (with one exception, the entire town is unemployed). From its Wild West origins to its near ghost town present, Darwin is a community of misfits, recluses, aging hippies and artists who have found a way to survive, and in some cases thrive, under the most unlikely circumstances.
